WALKING TOURS

Tour the country on foot! Walking provides the perfect pace at which to experience the abundance of nature, culture, and history on display in Kamphaeng Phet.

Embark on day hikes that allow you to admire the beauty of the landscape while learning about rural life in Thailand.  Stroll past rice paddies, fields of tapioca and sugar cane, exotic fruit orchards and working rubber plantations.

You will pass through villages inhabited by ethnic hill tribe peoples who still practice traditional crafts like weaving, basket making, embroidery and silversmithing. Take the opportunity to enter their homes to gain insight on how the live.

You'll visit the National Parks of Khlong Lan and Mae Wong and see how the late King's vision for a greener Thailand has come true with the majesty of protected nature on full display.

For those curious about Thailand's Buddhist traditions, you'll have a chance to visit ornate nearby temples and soak in the aura of religious rites grounded in community participation.

This trip has many highlights, but touring the 700 year-old abandoned temple complex in the fortified city of Kamphaeng Phet, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, might just top the list. Without the distraction of other tourists, you'll walk awestruck through history.

Whether you like to stroll with purpose or take a more leisurely pace, this trip is designed for all.  We'll have numerous staff along, and a support vehicle nearby at all times. Thus we can split into smaller groups based on individual distance and speed preferences, then coalesce again later without missing a beat.

Our Promise

No matter what your pace, we never leave anyone behind! For walking groups we always have at least one vehicle with air-conditioning stationed at strategic locations in case people wish to moderate their efforts.  Our staff stays with both leaders and followers to make sure you have the best possible experience.

This tour is for all walking enthusiasts, regardless of age or speed. Even if you know someone who's not 100 percent keen on walking, they can still have a great time bringing a pair of binoculars and moseying around while shuttling around in the van.

What Makes This Trip So Special

Walking is a fabulous way to immerse yourself in a cultural adventure, but that's not all. We think you'll also love  your accommodations,  the food, our staff,  your daily massage, the waterfalls and rivers,  temples and festivals, and the historical sites.
